To assist with ongoing maintenance of the space, as well as to act as a liaison between the university and the surrounding city, a student position (“GATEways Ambassador”) was jointly funded through a partnership between the Landscape Architecture Department and the Arboretum & Public Garden
Funding obtained through Campus Planning for deferred maintenance was used to improve courtyard infrastructure including the addition of Irrigation stub outs at each plot and the decomposed granite pathway “river” and lawn area designated in the master plan
